"How to be Prepared" - Upcoming Seminars

The second annual Don’t Panic Foundation seminar titled “How to be Prepared” legal and financial preparedness for the Public Safety Professional was held at Fire Station 34 in Montgomery County Maryland. The well-received and eye-opening seminar covered several lessons learned from previous Life-Altering events that occurred to public safety personnel.

2nd Annual 5K Run Race

Sunday, November 18, 2012  The Don't Panic Foundation Held its Second Annual run / race fundraising event on November 18th.  Fun was had by all, at this recurring event.  The DPF would like to thank all those who came out to support the DPF and most of all the event sponsors.

Thursday, May 5, 2011  Director Glenn Fitzpatrick is assuming the webmaster role for Don't Panic. He will be working with our host, Mission Media, to keep our website current and to provide online registration for future seminars. We are excited that Glenn accepted this challenge, and I suspect some gentle convincing from his Wife, Director Suzanna Fitzpatrick, helped seal the deal.

   


 

Assistance Update

Tuesday, March 1, 2011  Don't Panic has assisted three public safety professionals over the past six months. There have been recent requests for assistance that we are considering as well. If you learn of a critically ill or injured public safety professional that might need our assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

   


 

Don’t Panic Requested To Assist

Sunday, August 1, 2010  Over the weekend of August 1, 2010, Don’t Panic received a request for assistance for a Florida Firefighter who is being treated at NIH in Bethesda, Maryland. Don’t Panic is coordinating with Central Maryland FOOLS, IAFF Local 1664, and the NIH Fire Department in providing assistance. The Don’t Panic Foundation Provides Advice

Wednesday, July 14, 2010  Don’t Panic has recently been involved with assisting a critically ill Montgomery County, MD Firefighter. The Firefighter was in need of direction and advise regarding insurance and worker’s compensation, which was given through Don’t Panic as well as IAFF Local 1664. The Firefighter is expected to make a full recovery.

   


 

Gettysburg Fundraiser, Olivia’s Bistro

Saturday, July 10, 2010  A fundraiser involving Pipe Bands from Montgomery County, Baltimore and Northern was held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Olivia’s Mediterranean Bistro in Gettysburg, PA. Owner Harry Tassou hosted the Pipe Bands and friends from Public Safety departments from Maryland and Pennsylvania, as well as poker run bikers for the afternoon affair. Special thanks to Harry, DJ Breeze and all who attended to make the afternoon a successful one.

   


 

Second Round of Paintball !

Saturday, June 26, 2010  On June 26, 2010 the second round of paintball, ‘The Battle For Saigon’ took place at Paintball Sportsland in Frederick. The Don’t Panic Foundation raised over one thousand dollars, most of which was donated by Paintball Sportsland from tournament proceeds. Don’t Panic would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bosnick, owners of Paintball Sportsland for their generous donation of time and money.

   


 

Board Of Directors

Monday, April 26, 2010  Don’t Panic’s Board of Directors met on Sunday, April 25, 2010 to discuss upcoming promotion and fundraising. This summer will be a very busy on for the Foundation as we continue to promote and raise money in preparation of helping our first public safety professional.

On our promotional materials and banners, you will be seeing the tagline ‘Education and Support for Heroes.’ This tagline best represents the Don’t Panic Foundation’s vision as we continue to grow and get our name out there.
